Our women’s training programs are designed to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where students can develop confidence and real self-defense skills.
Because many participants come from diverse life experiences, including past trauma or harassment, our academy maintains specific safety standards to ensure that every woman feels respected, secure, and supported while training.
1. Respect for Personal Boundaries
Every student has the right to establish personal boundaries in training.
Students may:
• Decline to train with a partner if they feel uncomfortable
• Ask to modify or pause training at any time
• Request a different training partner without needing to explain their reasons
These choices will always be respected.
2. Consent in Training
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves close physical contact. Instructors and students must approach this contact with professionalism and respect.
Training expectations include:
• Techniques are demonstrated clearly before partner practice
• Contact should always be instructional and appropriate
• If a student expresses discomfort, adjustments are made immediately
Consent and communication are essential to safe training.
3. Instructor Supervision
All classes are supervised by qualified instructors who are responsible for maintaining a respectful and structured training environment.
Instructor responsibilities include:
• Monitoring partner interactions
• Addressing unsafe behavior immediately
• Providing clear instruction and guidance
Instructors are expected to maintain professional boundaries at all times.
4. Partner Training Guidelines
Students are encouraged to train cooperatively and support one another’s learning.
During partner training:
• Safety and control are always prioritized over strength or aggression
• Training partners should communicate openly about comfort levels
• Tapping or stopping signals must always be respected immediately
5. Harassment-Free Training Environment
Harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
This includes:
• Sexual harassment or comments
• Unwanted physical behavior outside of training context
• Bullying or discriminatory remarks
Students who violate these standards may be removed from class or from the academy.
6. Reporting Concerns
A safe community requires open communication.
Students are encouraged to report concerns related to:
• Safety issues
• Boundary violations
• Instructor or student conduct
Concerns can be brought directly to academy leadership and will be addressed respectfully and confidentially whenever possible.
7. Empowerment Through Training
The goal of women’s training programs is not only physical skill but also personal empowerment.
Students are encouraged to:
• Develop confidence and awareness
• Support fellow training partners
• Build strength and resilience through disciplined training
Our Commitment
We are committed to maintaining a training environment where women can:
• Train safely
• Build real self-defense skills
• Develop confidence and strength
• Be supported by a respectful community
